Biography
Dr. Finley earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He completed his dermatology residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He completed a two-year micrographic dermatologic surgery fellowship at Ochsner before beginning his medical career in the U.S. Air Force.
After six years of active duty, Dr. Finley became a staff Mohs surgeon at Ochsner. He and his family left New Orleans for a short period after Hurricane Katrina but returned after a colleague’s request. He has practiced in New Orleans for the past 18 years and returned in 2024 to Ochsner to continue to serve the patients that mean so much to him.
Dr. Finley is board-certified in both dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member at the fellow level of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Finley happily resides with his wife of over 37 years and a lively brood of rescue dogs in Metairie, Louisiana.
