Garrett Venable, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Ochsner Health, specializing in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery. He is committed to providing personalized, high-quality care for patients with spinal and neurological conditions, utilizing the latest advancements in surgical techniques.

Dr. Venable earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he also completed his residency in neurological surgery. He further advanced his expertise with a fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery at Semmes Murphey Clinic, training under Drs. Kevin Foley and Paul Park.

Dr. Venable is a member of the North American Spine Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dedicated to improving patient outcomes, he combines surgical precision with a patient-centered approach to care.

Originally from Middle Tennessee, Dr. Venable enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. Outside of medicine, he has a passion for fishing and gardening.
