Dr. George B. Morris IV ("Jody") practices obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Morris has specialized expertise in minimally invasive surgery for advanced gynecologic diseases including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, uterine endometrial disorders, uterine defect repair (cesarean section scar repair), adnexal (fallopian tube and ovarian) disorders and cervical incompetence. Dr. Morris IV runs a high-volume surgical practice and is an expert in all aspects of minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic procedures. His office practice also includes routine obstetric care, routine well woman care, chronic pelvic pain, menopause, hormone replacement therapy and disorders of the vulva.

Dr. Morris IV earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 1995. He completed his residency from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas in 1995. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Morris IV is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He is active in teaching and has been a principal investigator of numerous clinical trials. He has been proudly practicing at Ochsner since 2006 and has held numerous leadership positions within the organization.
