Gus Zervoudakis, MD, is an orthopedic oncology-trained surgeon at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. Dr. Zervoudakis works with a multidisciplinary team to treat cancers involving the musculoskeletal system in both adult and pediatric patients. He works closely with each patient to make treatment decisions together and uses advanced techniques to help save affected limbs whenever possible, with the goal of improving mobility, function and quality of life. 

He is also active in research with focuses in metastatic disease of the skeleton, cancer pain management, and liquid biopsy applications. Dr. Zervoudakis' procedures include limb-salvage oncologic surgery, surgical management of metastatic bone disease, complex resection of extremity tumors, and amputations. 

Dr. Zervoudakis earned his medical degree and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Western Michigan University’s Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dr. Zervoudakis later completed advanced fellowship training at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, including fellowships in orthopedic oncology and sarcoma research.
