Biography
Dr. Eissa earned his medical degree from Cairo University in Egypt. He completed his internal medicine residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, and his physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at Emory University Center for Rehabilitation Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Eissa is board certified in physical medicine and pain medicine. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 1998. Dr. Eissa's expertise is in the area of musculoskeletal medicine and pain management, and his special medical interests include spinal and joint interventional pain management and vertebral augmentation (kyphoplasty).

Dr Essa is the main reason I can still walk today. No other physician would order simply mri for me. He took my increased pain seriously and I can't thank him enough for that. Did I want surgery no but there was no choice. I was admitted the same day for back surgery after mri results came out.
