Heather Kindschy, LCSW-BACS, MPH, (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker with training in a variety of evidence based modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She specializes in anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders, issues common during adolescence as well as trauma.
Heather has extensive background working with disaster recover and disaster mental health specifically with adolescents in various settings including school social work, the juvenile justice system and the adult criminal justice system.
Heather’s education and training include a Master of Social Work from Tulane School of Social Work 2007, and Masters in Public Health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropic Medicine in 2008. She has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2012, and she is also a board-approved clinical supervisor.
