Biography

Dr. Isaac Molinero is a double board-certified pediatric neurologist and epileptologist at Ochsner Health. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex neurological disorders in children, with a focus on epilepsy and seizure management. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each child and family, combining clinical expertise with the latest advancements in neuroimaging, genetic testing and neurophysiology.

Dr. Molinero completed his residency in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore / Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He pursued advanced fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology with a focus on pediatric epilepsy where he gained extensive experience in EEG interpretation, epilepsy surgery evaluation, and management of refractory seizures.

His clinical interests include early-onset epilepsy, genetic epilepsies, epilepsy surgery evaluation, and neuromodulation therapies such as VNS, DBS and RNS. He is also committed to research and education, contributing to ongoing studies aimed at improving outcomes for children with treatment-resistant epilepsy. Dr. Molinero is known for his collaborative approach, working closely with families, primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, individualized care.
