Biography
Jacklyn Ruhl, PhD, specializes in psychology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Jacklyn Ruhl earned a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at West Virginia University (WVU) / Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) in Charleston, West Virginia, and she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans. Dr. Ruhl has been licensed in Louisiana since 2016, and she has been practicing at Ochsner Health since that time. Dr. Ruhl currently serves as the section head of psychology within the department of psychiatry. She is involved in supervision of psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows. She sees patients through the Brief Evidence-Based Psychotherapy (BEBP) Clinic, STeP Clinic, Intensive Outpatient Program, and psychological assessment service. She specializes in individual and group therapy for adults relating to stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia. At this time, Dr. Ruhl only accepts internal referrals through the above programs.
