Dr. Dendy was born and raised in the New Orleans area. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten. Following graduation, he returned to New Orleans and completed his residency in internal medicine at Ochsner Medical Center (OMC), where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Dendy also completed a fellowship in endocrinology at OMC and now practices endocrinology at the Ochsner Jefferson Highway campus. Dr. Dendy is part of the endocrine multidisciplinary clinic that delivers a team-based approach to endocrine disorders (including thyroid nodules/thyroid cancer, thyroid goiter, parathyroid adenomas and adrenal nodules/tumors) that may require both medical and surgical treatment. He has a particular interest in disorders of the thyroid, and interprets diagnostic neck/thyroid ultrasounds and performs fine-needle aspiration biopsies of the thyroid. Dr. Dendy is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology. He has also received his Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society and the American Thyroid Association.
