Dr. Jared Israel is a licensed psychologist in Louisiana. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He completed a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Jared specializes in chronic illness management, adjustment to injury, and coping with disability. He sees patients on the Psychology Consult-Liaison Service as well as at Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Jared also holds clinic hours in the Psychiatry Department where he treats depression, anxiety, trauma and psychotic disorders. His treatment approach is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
