Dr. Jeanne Herman, a native of New Orleans, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas. She completed clinical rotations at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as a private practice in Houston.

Dr. Herman is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for treatment and management of ocular disease and holds an optometric license with therapeutic privileges in Louisiana. She practices primary care optometry with a focus on glaucoma and specialty contact lens services at the Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus. She is a member of the Optometric Association of Louisiana and the American Optometric Association.
