Dr. Jeffanne E. Millien received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., in 2013. She did a year of clinical research in breast cancer before she went on to complete her internship and residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Millien is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. She has been on staff at Ochsner since August 2020 and practicing medicine since 2020. Dr. Millien performs a variety of surgical procedures including cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, appendectomies and surgeries related to critical care. She has a special clinical interest in acute care surgery, global health, and medical student and resident education. Dr. Millien enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking a variety of dishes, binge watching her favorite TV shows and writing in her free time.
