Biography
Dr. Cole earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is board-certified in internal medicine and hematology and oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, in 1987. Dr. Cole actively participates in cancer clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute as well as other cancer clinical trials sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Cole is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology to stay updated on medical advancements in the field of medical oncology.
Dr. Cole is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of their patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 1989. Outside of medicine, he enjoys biking, golfing, spending time outdoors and traveling.
