Care Philosophy

Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians, or perinatologists, are subspecialty-trained obstetricians who specialize in high-risk pregnancies, to ensure a healthy outcome for the mother and the baby. Moms-to-be with chronic health issues or who face unexpected problems that develop during pregnancy may be referred to perinatologists by their obstetricians. Ochsner offers MFM services across Louisiana and Southern Mississippi, combining perinatal expertise and experience with modern and sophisticated technology, such as virtual physician-to-patient ultrasounds.

The Women’s Pavilion at Ochsner Baptist makes it easier for women of all ages to connect with the expert care they need. From gynecological and obstetrics visits, including gynecologic robotic surgery, to labor and delivery the Women’s Pavilion is the New Orleans’ destination for women’s healthcare services.
