Dr. Randy Englert became interested in medicine at a young age after witnessing the patient-physician relationship between close family members and their doctors. After experiencing the affect a physician's demeanor can have, he seeks to individualize care for each patient.

Dr. Englert was raised in St Bernard Parish, Louisiana. He received his high school education at Holy Cross School. For his undergraduate education, he attended Loyola University in New Orleans, where he achieved a major in biology pre-medicine with a minor in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree in 2012 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Englert conducted his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, as well as a fellowship in cardiology at the Ochsner Clinic, where he was the chief fellow.

Dr. Englert's clinical interests include cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He achieved board certification in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Englert creates an individualized care plan based on the patient's condition and wishes. He believes that the best treatment involves a coordinated effort between the physician practicing evidence-based medicine and the patient being actively involved in their own care.
