Biography
Joseph Heneghan, MD, is a dedicated and compassionate internal medicine physician providing comprehensive care to adult patients at Ochsner Health. Dr. Heneghan earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his residency in internal medicine at University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, Society of General Internal Medicine, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Heneghan is committed to delivering patient-centered care, emphasizing prevention, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of medical conditions. He specializes in the treatment of metabolic diseases with a focus on high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and thyroid conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Heneghan enjoys football, films, food. He is a near-native speaker of German.
