Dr. Joyce Varghese has been a pediatric intensivist at Ochsner Hospital for Children since 2014. She received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She completed a pediatrics internship and residency at Children's Hospital of New Orleans followed by a pediatric critical care fellowship at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Varghese is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care. Dr. Varghese is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society, and the American Association of Pediatrics. She has an interest in extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation and quality improvement and believes that even in the darkest of times, compassion and kindness can be essential tools in providing care.
