Justin Carreras, PhD, specializes in clinical child and adolescent psychology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Carreras received his doctoral and master's degrees in psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. He completed his internship at Momentous Institute in Dallas, and he completed his fellowship in pediatric psychology at Ochsner. Dr. Carreras is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2020. He has a special clinical interest in working with children and adolescents with somatic symptoms and functional impairment (such as functional pain and functional neurological symptoms), as well as helping patients with diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease adjust to new diagnoses and adhere with their treatment plans. Dr. Carreras enjoys watching New Orleans Saints football in his free time.
