Kacey Wuertz, DNP, specializes in surgical critical care medicine at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. He serves as the supervisor site lead advanced practice provider for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Thoracic Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. In this leadership role, Kacey oversees advanced practice provider operations, clinical practice, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill surgical and cardiovascular patients.

Kacey earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to becoming an advanced practice provider, he spent eight years as a critical care registered nurse at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, establishing a strong foundation in the management of complex and critically ill patients.

He is board-certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds the critical care registered nurse certification through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

In addition to his clinical and leadership responsibilities, Kacey serves as faculty at Louisiana State University Health New Orleans School of Nursing, contributing to undergraduate and graduate nursing education.
