Dr. Toribio joined the Department of Rheumatology at Ochsner in 2014. She completed her rheumatology fellowship at New York University where she became chief rheumatology fellow due to her excellence in teaching and leadership skills. She is a graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans, where she was awarded Ruth and Lee Faust Award for the senior in Biological Sciences graduating with highest GPA. She completed medical school at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and then completed internal medical residency at Duke University. She was raised in New Orleans, but was born in Dominican Republic and is a native Spanish speaker. Her clinical interests include lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and gout.
