Kissley Booker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, practices urgent care at Ochsner Lafayette General Urgent Care. Mrs. Booker provides patient-centered care for acute and non-emergency medical needs, including respiratory symptoms, minor injuries, infections, hypertension concerns, diabetes-related concerns, medication management, wellness needs and patient education.

Mrs. Booker earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is committed to lifelong learning through active involvement in professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association and Louisiana State Nurses Association. Her clinical background includes experience as a medical-surgical and neurology registered nurse at a Level I trauma center, as well as advanced practice experience caring for patients across the lifespan in urgent care settings.

Mrs. Booker is committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable and relatable care. She takes time to listen to her patients' concerns, understand their goals and help them make informed decisions about their health. Her approach is built on respect, cultural awareness, clear communication, patient advocacy and trust.

In addition to her clinical practice, Mrs. Booker serves as an adjunct Bachelor of Science in Nursing assistant professor at Southern University A&M, where she mentors future nurses and supports the development of clinical judgment, professionalism and culturally responsive care.
Outside of healthcare, Mrs. Booker enjoys spending time with family, serving her community, mentoring students and continuing to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.
