Kristen Thames, MSN, FNP, is a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner at Ochsner Health. Ms. Thames has expertise in primary care medicine, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including hypertension, depression and diabetes. Ms. Thames earned her Masters degree in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Louisiville, Kentucky, in 2019, and her post-masters degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 2021. She obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2019, and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2022. Ms. Thames's patient-centered approach emphasizes compassionate care and personalized treatment plans. She is dedicated to addressing patients' medical needs while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys watching football, especially Ole Miss, shopping, working out spending time with her daughter. She holds firm to a personal philosophy that honesty is the best policy.
