Biography

Laura Classen Boykin, MD, specializes in pediatrics at Ochsner Health. She earned her bachelor of science in biology with honors from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She went on to earn her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following graduation, Dr. Boykin completed her residency and internship in pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been a practicing general pediatrician with Ochsner since 2016. In her free time, Dr. Boykin, a native of New Orleans, enjoys savoring New Orleans cuisine with friends, brushing up on her painting skills and traveling with her husband and family.

There were many "things" to discuss at my baby's 9 mo. well check. Dr. Boykin spent a lot of time with us to address al concerns. She never seemed annoyed or rushed. I appreciate her concern, compassion, and expertise.
