Lauren Elder, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Elder received her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2009. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she received awards for patient education.

Dr. Elder is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2012. She is the lead physician for Ochsner Health Center - East Mandeville. Dr. Elder sees patients for primary care needs, as well as minor in office procedures such as excisions, biopsies and joint injections. Dr. Elder enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and children in her free time.
