Lauren Tran, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health - Driftwood. She was born and raised in New Orleans. Dr. Tran double majored in psychology and sociology at Tulane University. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She is board-certified in family medicine and completed her residency at LSU in Kenner, Louisiana.

Dr. Tran chose to specialize in family medicine so she could act as an advocate for patients of all ages with a wide range of illnesses and pathologies. She finds joy in being able to get to know her patients well and identify the physical, biological and psychosocial factors that may be affecting their health. She is passionate about social determinants of health and hopes to break down the barriers that limit people's access to healthcare and ability to navigate our healthcare system. Outside of medicine, she loves to cook, bake, weight train at the gym, read books and spend quality time with her family and friends in the area.
