Biography
Dr. Layla Alizadeh is a Maryland native who pursued an undergraduate degree at University of Maryland, College Park prior to attending medical school at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She continued her combined anatomic and clinical pathology training at Howard University Hospital and later completed a surgical pathology fellowship with emphasis in breast and gynecologic pathology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Alizadeh is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and has been practicing in both private and academic settings since 2013. She has been on staff at Ochsner since early 2019. Her area of expertise is surgical pathology with an emphasis in women’s wellness pathology
