Biography
Finding the right doctor is about more than credentials, it’s about trust, understanding and feeling cared for. Dr. Lee Montgomery is dedicated to listening closely, explaining things clearly and building lasting relationships with his patients.
He has special expertise in managing chronic conditions like obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and heart and lung disease. He also supports patients with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression and ADHD, because he believes good health includes both body and mind.
Dr. Montgomery grew up in Mississippi and graduated at the top of his class from Millsaps College before earning his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received the Consummate Physician Award. He completed his family medicine residency at Florida Hospital, then the largest hospital in the state. He is board-certified in family medicine and is proud to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Montgomery has a special interest in obesity and metabolism, LGBTQ+ healthcare, healthcare technology and new approaches to chronic disease management. Patients often say they appreciate his inclusive, down-to-earth style and the way he treats them as whole people, not just their symptoms.
Whether you’re managing a long-term health condition, working on your mental well-being or simply looking for a doctor who takes the time to get to know you, Dr. Montgomery looks forward to being your partner in health.
