Biography

Leslie E. Sisco-Wise, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. She treats common and complex conditions of the hand and upper arm, including carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, trigger finger, tendon injuries, fractures, infections and shoulder trauma. To help restore function and improve her patients' quality of life, Dr. Sisco-Wise performs advanced procedures, including hand surgery, microsurgery and arthroscopy.

Dr. Sisco-Wise earned her medical degree and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where she was honored as an outstanding orthopedic surgery student. She also holds a master's degree in biology from the University of South Alabama. Following her residency, she completed advanced fellowship training in hand and hand surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

As an expert leader in her field, Dr. Sisco-Wise serves as the section head of hand surgery for Ochsner Health and the director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Center at Ochsner Baptist Hospital. She also made history as the first female president of the Louisiana Orthopedic Association. Through thoughtful evaluation and collaborative decision-making, Dr. Sisco-Wise ensures every patient receives compassionate, personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
