Biography
Dr. Garon graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he was a three-time recipient of the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE) High Score Award. During his residency, he also received the James Albright Research Award, the Award for Outstanding Resident, and the International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium Scholarship. Additionally, he was selected to attend the American Orthopaedic Association Leadership Forum.
Dr. Garon completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis. He is board-certified in orthopedic hand and microvascular surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Actively involved in research, Dr. Garon has contributed to multiple publications, including journal articles, reviews and book chapters.
Dr. Garon is committed to addressing his patients’ medical needs while understanding their individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, windsurfing, waterskiing, fly fishing, traveling and playing soccer.
