Biography

Dr. Mariana Camelo Pereira specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She earned her medical degree from the Federal University of Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil, in 2018. She practiced as a primary care physician before moving to the United States to continue her training. Dr. Camelo completed her internal medicine residency at Western Michigan University School of Medicine in 2023, followed by her endocrinology fellowship at Ochsner in 2025.

She is drawn to endocrinology for its intellectual challenges and the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients while making a lasting difference in their health and quality of life.
