Ochsner Health Center – Slidell has been serving the community since 1988, offering a variety of services. We provide care in areas including primary care, neurology, OB/GYN, orthopedics and radiology, ensuring that residents of Slidell and surrounding areas have convenient access to essential healthcare. You can call or message your doctor, schedule appointments, submit refill requests for medication and schedule preventive health reminders to help you stay on track. We offer same-day and next-day appointments. We also offer virtual visits. Learn more about virtual visits here.
Lab results
You can find your lab results through MyOchsner. If there's anything unusual, your doctor's office will call you once they get the results
Prescription refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure that the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication.
Ochsner On Call
Unless otherwise directed by your doctor or provider, please call Ochsner On Call, our 24/7 nurse care advice line at 1-800-231-5257, for guidance regarding your symptoms. For emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.
Registered nurses at the Ochsner On Call Center can help determine how soon you should be seen and recommend the best care options for your symptoms.

Ochsner’s trained optical team is ready to help you find your new style! We specialize in eyewear for strong prescriptions, special lenses, low vision, sunglasses, unique prescriptions and prisms.

Britne in the lab did fabulous I hope that administration rewards that girl. Dr McKernan was great as well. Although how come doctors and nurses don’t do more thorough exams as we used to back in the 1990’s. Listening the the chest with a stethoscope is fabulous but no looking in the ear up the nose in the mouth feeling lymph nodes checking reflexes palpating abdomen etc etc you get the idea?!! Plus it takes sometimes months to wait to see specialists. Healthcare isn’t what it used to be! On a great note though these professionals have fab personalities! Tyvm. Retired RN

I am an oncology patient and have been for 10 years. I have neglected to get a GP until recently because I already have a huge medical team and countless appointments. The thought of adding another appointment or doctor seemed exhausting and inconvenient at best. I have to say though some how Dr. Adams and team, from beginning to end, some how made my life easier! Appointments are QUICK! I mean I waited longer today in the waiting room than I ever have and I waited less than 10 minutes. I usually don't have time to send a text or email! Generally I am in and out in less than 30 minutes. I still don't feel rushed or neglected and always feel like I am important as are any concerns I may have. In addition, when things pop up where I need to consult someone urgently I am responded to same day via mychart and a E-visit is arranged almost immediately. I am extremely happy with this office, Dr. Adams, and her wonderful nurse (I am sorry I can't remember your name!). Thank you for making my life a little easier and pleasant! It genuinely means more than you can imagine.

The only thing I can tell yall if you trying to get a surgery or something make sure they accept your insurance I did all my appointments to have weight loss surgery then they turn around and tell me they don't accept my insurance no more soon as I get the surgery date

The employees are friendly and call you by your name. They listen to you. Ask what your goal is. Ask your pain number. Work with you to make a schedule that works for you. I would recommend them to my friends.

My primary doctor at this facility is Dr. Lambert. He and his office staff provide excellent service. Dr. Lambert is knowledgeable, listens, and takes my health care concerns seriously. I feel heard and valued. I also received my very first mammogram at this location and was very nervous. The lady that performed the test made me feel very comfortable and explained exactly what would happen. I was nervous for nothing. Sadly, I can't remember her name at the moment (I think Karen but not completely sure) since having Covid last year, my memory has not been the same. I also had blood work done here and Kevin was great as well! Highly recommend this facility for health needs.
