M. Elise Sexton, FNP-C, practices orthopedic spine surgery at Ochsner Health. Elise grew up on the Northshore and graduated from Fontainebleau High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University. She worked at Ochsner in the neurological intensive care unit for five years and the post anesthesia care unit for two years before receiving her master’s in nursing at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She joined the orthopedic surgery department with a focus in spine surgery in 2021. She is board-certified by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, Elise enjoys live music and spending time with her friends and family.
