Michele Gerarve RD-AP, CSO, LDN is a registered dietitian and board certified specialist in oncology nutrition at Ochsner Health. She is one of two dietitians in the state of Louisiana who is certified as an advanced practitioner in clinical nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is credentialed by the Commission for Dietetic Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Michele has spent 10 years working exclusively in oncology, which has included the development of one outpatient cancer center nutrition program. Additionally, she spearheaded the development and implementation of a system wide policy for order writing privileges for dietitians. Michele is active in her local dietetic associations and has held offices at the local and state level as well as given lectures at the local and state levels relating to oncology nutrition.
