Biography

Muhammad Arslan Cheema, MD, specializes in interventional cardiology at Ochsner Health. He obtained his medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan. Thereafter, he completed his internal medicine residency at Jefferson Abington Hospital. After completion of residency, he served as chief resident at Abington Hospital. He completed a cardiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. He was also chief interventional fellow. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and in Interventional Cardiology. He also holds board certifications in Adult Echocardiography and in Cardiovascular CT.

Dr. Cheema's specific interests include management of coronary artery disease including cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty and stenting.
