Dr. Nancy N. Thomas practices obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Health. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2004. She went on the complete her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis in 2008. She became a board-certified fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2011. She has been on staff with Ochsner in the Covington/Mandeville area since 2008. Dr. Thomas sees patients with any gynecologic need. Her practice covers adolescents to geriatrics. She does contraception and cervical, vulvar and breast cancer screening. She treats polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, vulvar diseases, infertility, fibroids, ovarian cysts, menopausal symptoms, genital atrophy, female prolapse, overactive bladder and osteoporosis. She also provides advanced gynecologic procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy, permanent sterilization, operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopic fibroid resection and hysteroscopic endometrial ablation. In her free time, Dr. Thomas enjoys traveling and spending time with her three children.
