Biography

Nasr A. Aborawi, MD, MS, is a pediatric pulmonologist at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. Dr. Aborawi provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of respiratory conditions. His clinical interests include asthma management, chronic lung disease of prematurity, airway disorders, sleep-disordered breathing, neuromuscular respiratory conditions, and the care of children with complex respiratory needs, including those requiring home ventilation.

Dr. Aborawi earned his medical degree from the University of Tripoli in 2009. He later completed a Master of Science in clinical research at Rush University in 2019. He completed his pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical Center in 2024 and his fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in 2022.

Dr. Aborawi is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding their individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner Health since 2024. Outside of medicine, he enjoys distance running and participating in road races.
