Biography
Dr. Ifejika earned her master’s degree in health policy and administration from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health in 2002, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill in 2003. She is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2008 and 2014 respectively, and she is meeting maintenance of certification requirements in both disciplines. She completed post-graduate research training in vascular neurology under the mentorship of Dr. James Grotta at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, in 2012. Dr. Ifejika actively participates in the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to stay updated on medical advancements.
Dr. Ifejika is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. She has been practicing at Ochsner since 2024. Outside of medicine, she enjoys volunteering and spending time with family.
