Oanh Truong, MD, is a family physician at Ochsner Health who provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. She offers full-spectrum outpatient care, including preventive services, chronic disease management, and medication-assisted treatment. Dr. Truong earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and completed her family medicine residency at Northwestern McGaw Family Medicine Residency at Humboldt Park in Chicago. She also completed a Family Medicine Faculty Development Fellowship at UPMC St. Margaret and holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Her clinical interests include health equity, inclusive care, womens health, and community-centered primary care. Dr. Truong is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Originally from Baton Rouge, Dr. Truong is a graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School and values caring for patients in the community she calls home. She is fluent in Vietnamese and English. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, playing board games and trying new restaurants.
