Biography
Dr. Iftikhar earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University and did residency in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma. He later on went to receive cardiology training at University of Chicago (Northshore) and additional training in interventional and structural cardiology at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr Iftikhar is board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular imaging, and Cardiac CT. Dr. Iftikhar actively participates with American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions to stay updated on medical advancements.
Dr. Iftikhar is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of their patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 2024. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fishing, traveling, bike riding and spending time with family.
