Dr. Patrice Tyson is a pediatric gastroenterologist with Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2001. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center with Children's Hospital in New Orleans. She also completed her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Children's Hospital. Dr. Tyson is board certified by American Board of Pediatrics- Pediatric Gastroenterology. She has been practicing medicine since 2001 and on staff at Ochsner since December 2019. Dr. Tyson performs esophasgastroduodenoscopy (a procedure that allows the doctor to see inside the patient's esophagus, stomach and upper intestine), colonoscopy, esophageal dilation, polypectomies, and pill camera endoscopy. She has a special clinical interest in general gastroenterology. Dr. Tyson enjoys traveling and movies of all genres in her free time.
