Pavan Malur, MD

Dr. Pavan Malur is a native of Baton Rouge and received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Following that, he finished Cardiology fellowship training at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Malur is Board Certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Areas of medical interest include preventative healthcare, obesity and weight loss, and cardiac rehabilitation.

This was my first time consulting Dr Malur. I think he is excellent. He is very intelligent. He explained everything that I needed to have done in a very simple way. He answered all my questions.

I was a new patient to Drm Malur. Moving from Georgia back to Louisiana I was in need of a cardiologist. He was already aware of my condition because my previous doctor is on the same Epic program as is Dr. Malur. I was very impressed that he already familiarized.himself with my heart information. I will definitely keep him as my doctor of choice going forward.

I’m always impressed with Dr. Malur! You can tell he truly cares about his patients and listens to EVERYTHING you have to say. He’s thorough, knowledgeable, personable and upfront with information. He may be young but he knows his stuff! He’s probably my favorite Ochsner doctor.

Dr Malur is very curteous and knowledgeable doctor, and he is always willing to listen to what his patient hast to say.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Malur. He was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable and interested in listening to all of the issues I've had this year, so as to make an informed assessment of my health. My only complaint with Dr. Malur is that he had a tendency to speak very quickly at times. Overall though, it was a good experience and I will continue to see Dr. Malur for my cardiology needs.
