Dr. Payton Olson practices obstetrics and gynecology at Ochsner Health. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She went on to complete her internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ochsner Clinical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. While in training, Dr. Olson received many awards including Excellence in Obstetrics Emergencies and Surgical Skills in Gynecology Oncology. She has been on staff with Ochsner in the Covington and Mandeville areas since 2021. Dr. Olson enjoys seeing all obstetrical and gynecological patients, from adolescents to older women. Her interests include normal and high-risk obstetrics, contraception, treatment of abnormal bleeding and pelvic pain and robotic/minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Dr. Olson is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In her free time, Dr. Olson enjoys traveling, New Orleans Saints football and spending time with her husband and children.
