Biography

Dr. Rachel Bernard practices pediatric gastroenterology at Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015, and went on to complete her internship and residency at the Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Bernard is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics- Gastroenterology and has been on staff at Ochsner since August 2020. Dr. Bernard performs all general pediatric gastroenterology procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics; Crohn's and Colitis Foundation; North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association.
