Biography

Beka Hoffacker, FNP-C, specializes in bone marrow transplant medicine at Ochsner Health. She began her journey in healthcare as a patient care technician in oncology while pursuing her Associate of Science in nursing from Charity Nursing School in New Orleans. Her passion for patient care and commitment to advancing her knowledge led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, followed by a Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Alabama.


With nine years of experience in oncology nursing, Beka has developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by patients undergoing cancer treatment. Her career trajectory includes roles as a nurse and an operations coordinator, all within the field of oncology, where she has consistently demonstrated her leadership and expertise.


In addition to her extensive experience, Beka holds a Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse certification, underscoring her specialized skills and dedication to providing exceptional care to patients undergoing blood and marrow transplantation. She is committed to delivering holistic and patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient receives the support and treatment they need during their cancer journey. Her empathetic approach and clinical expertise make her an asset to any healthcare team. Outside of Ochsner, she enjoys reading, traveling with her husband, walking her beagle, sailing and scuba diving.
