Dr. Meadows received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, in 1996. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Ochsner in New Orleans. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a senior fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine. She holds an academic title from The University of Queensland as an associate professor of medicine at the Ochsner Clinical School.

Dr. Meadows is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2003 and practicing medicine since 1999. Dr. Meadows has a special clinical interest in patient safety, inpatient diabetes and telemedicine. Dr. Meadows enjoys hiking, art and archeology in her free time.
