Rohith Arcot, MD, specializes in urologic oncology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Arcot grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and he studied anthropology and religious studies at New York University. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Arcot attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. There he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society and graduated with honors. He then completed a urology residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Following residency, Dr. Arcot completed advanced training through a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at Duke University. During his fellowship, he was awarded a National T32 grant to study the molecular biology of prostate cancer lesions seen on magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Arcot is currently on staff at Ochsner Health as a urologic oncologist, where he treats several urologic cancers with a focus in prostate and kidney cancer. His research focuses on early and advanced prostate cancer as well as early and advanced kidney cancer. He and his team strive to create a medical environment dedicated to providing the highest quality care utilizing the most up to date science and advanced technology. He prides himself in getting to know his patients and creating a personalized care plan that matches their goals of care.
