Dr. Ross Dunbar is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand and upper-extremity surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS) and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand Surgery. Dr. Dunbar has a strong interest in the advancement of his field through inspirational teaching and meaningful research. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications. He has also presented at the local, regional and national levels.Dr. Dunbar received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA in 2012. He went on to complete his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Ochsner. He completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Dunbar has been on staff at Ochsner since 2018 where he serves as the Director of Quality and Outcomes for the Orthopedic Service Line across the entire Ochsner system.
