Biography

Sammy Khatib, MD, MMM, specializes in electrophysiology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. Dr. Khatib treats complex arrhythmias of the heart using device-based therapy, including radiofrequency and pulsed field ablation.

Dr. Khatib earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1999. He completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington D.C, where he also was chief medical resident. He went on to do his fellowship in cardiology at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, where he was chief cardiology fellow. He then pursued additional training in electrophysiology at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Florida. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
