Sarena Patel is my favorite. She always goes above and beyond.

I could write a novel about how grateful I am for Sarena Patel. She is the most caring and helpful provider I have ever seen in my life. I have suffered from migraines since I was 12 years old and seen doctors who have written me a couple of prescriptions that cost a fortune and that was that. Her care plan and the knowledge she has shared with me has given me my life back. Before seeing her, I lost about half of my days to migraines. My mental health, career, and body suffered from this. Since I have been doing the botox treatments and have preventative and rescue medications, I have my life back. She has worked with me to get treatments and medications covered by my Insurance company, and then we did It all AGAIN when my company changed insurance providers. I don't know what I would do without her. Another area of her excellence is patient education and coaching. She explains everything to me in perfect clarity. She has coached me on how to document my migraines so that she can better treat me, she has given me tips on how to best use my medication. She's recommended apps to help me track triggers and document migraines. It's more than just treating my migraines with medication, she has given me a holistic understanding of my migraines that empowers me to make the best choices. We will chat about new research in the field of neurology and the way that medications work in the brain. I have learned so many fascinating things from her that have helped me tremendously. I could go on and on..... I really feel very lucky to have found Sarena and I will tell you, Ochsner Health, you are INCREDIBLY lucky to have her on your team. She deserves recognition and praise for her excellence. I know that she truly cares about her patients. I am sure that her other patients will tell you that she is someone special. I am glad I had this survey to share my experiences.
