Shante J. Washington, FNP, specializes in internal medicine at Ochsner Health, where she offers comprehensive, patient-focused care to adults with diverse health needs. With a strong commitment to prevention, chronic disease management and lifelong wellness, Shante strives to understand each patients individual needs and goals while offering care that is compassionate, personalized and effective.

After earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Southern University and A&M College in 2018, Shante began her nursing career on the oncology floor at Lafayette General Medical Center, where she worked for two years. Seeking to broaden her skill set and gain diverse experiences, she spent several years as a travel nurse, caring for patients in different locations and learning from a variety of healthcare settings. Shante then returned to school to advance her education, earning her Master of Science in nursing from Herzing University in 2025. When shes not caring for her patients, Shante loves spending quality time with family and friends, relaxing on her couch with her dog, traveling to new places and diving into new adventures.
